“WORTHY” BY THE DREAMSICLES
The Dreamsicles The Dreamsicles are Tom Prasada-Rao and Cary Cooper. Together they are the grooviest duo since Batman and Robin, Sonny and Cher, Bonnie and Clyde, pumpkin and pie!
Take one part Cary Cooper and one part Tom Prasada-Rao, mix together, shake but don’t stir, and the sum of the parts becomes a magical concoction where songs about ice cream become songs about love, where whimsical, playful notions, become powerful provocative songs, unafraid to be vulnerable, unafraid to be straightforward – to say what they mean, and to mean what they say.
Tom Prasada-Rao is well known on the national singer/songwriter circuit, and after 20 years on the road has established himself as a musicians’ musician touring solo and now also as a duo called the Dreamsicles. TPR has sold over 30,000 albums to date, and has recently completed his fifth solo album entitled “Out of the Blue.” Cary Cooper burst onto the music scene in 2002 with the release of her debut album “Gypsy Train,” which has garnered almost universal praise. Cary Cooper is a breath of fresh air in the usually stodgy folk music world, and has people standing on their heads at every turn she makes. With two voices, a guitar, and an occasional drum loop, the Dreamsicles transport you to a place where your body moves, where you tap your feet, where you smile, and where you immediately sing along with songs from deep in the heart of love, where laughing is as precious as air and water.
